Yin Yang Perfection

“Everything contains Yin and Yang. They are two opposite yet complementary energies. What does this really mean? Although they are totally different—opposite—in their individual qualities and nature, they are interdependent. Yin and Yang cannot exist without the other; they are never separate.” – Traditional Chinese Medicine World Foundation

These two little hams can be playful together, but 9 times out of 10, one’s sleeping while the other one is playing. One is behaving, while the other is being a little rascal. The list goes on, but I think it’s amazing how much we’ve learned from these little kittens in just a number of days. They love receiving human attention, and they know they’re in a loving home. When one is laying next to their human, the other is curled up on their cat bed.

As Yin and Yang is defined above, S’mores and Oreo have those exact qualities with each other. Their personalities are unique which help create individuality within their personalities, but they rely on each other for happiness and reassurance. I don’t know how we would have done it had we adopted one and not the other.

In life, there has always been the saying that opposites attract, which is true in many ways. We need the negatives to balance out the positives. We need the good to balance out the bad. We need happiness to counter sadness. We need creativity to promote talent. Most importantly, sending love to heal all the wounded places.

What is Batman without Joker? Powerpuff Girls without Mojo Jojo? Cinderella without her evil Stepmom and Stepsisters?

One is always creating trouble, while the other is being sweet and docile; and such is life. Cherish every moment, good or bad. Learn from your mistakes, retain and teach good qualities to as many people as you can.

Life is a beauty in disguise.
